The Sock Ghost is strictly for those of you who like experimental noise-and-sampling with a unique sense of humor. Cum Sock has been around since 2003 and that their music is an acquired taste is an understatement. Once you go beyond this initial idea you’ll begin to appreciate their approach to the do-it-yourself ethic. One original idea they have is compressing several songs into a single track, which is something you’ll hear on a few of the tracks here. The songs sound recorded on a portable deck of some kind but the sound quality is good for this. You can hear each instrument clearly with nothing sounding blurred. The total time here is quite brief so when hearing this you receive just a small sample of what Cum Sock is about.
